Movie Plot: In 1967 Los Angeles, a widowed mother and her daughters add a new stunt to bolster their seance scam business, inviting an evil presence into their home.

In Los Angeles in 1967, a young widow named Alice Xander worked as a spiritual medium from her suburban home, including her daughters, 15-year-old Paulina0 “Lena’s And 9-year-old Doris. The family is still happy at the recent death of Roger, Alice’s husband and father of children. At Lena’s casual suggestion, Ellis incorporated an Oija board into her readings. When attempting the board, she inadvertently approaches a soul called Marcus that begins with Doris.

Alice gets a notice that the bank intends to forcast at their home. Doris contacts the board for help, believing she is communicating with her dead father. The spirit takes him to a secret compartment behind the basement wall with a bag of cash. When she gives money to her mother, the family has a Uija session, assuming they can contact Roger. Only Roger will know the answer when the board answers a question, a thrilled Alice seems to believe they are in contact with her dead husband.
