Tang Monk Tripitak (Nicholas Tse) and his three disciples, Monk King Sun Wukang (Bolin Chen), Pig Monk Zhu Wuyang (Kenny Quan) and Sand Monk Sha Wujing (Steven Cheung) arrived victoriously to welcome a hero in Shachi city. The most important challenge of the trippy is that he can only perform.

During their stay in the city, the three disciples are captured by the evil tree spirit. Tripitaka borrows the golden pole and tries to find a way to save them.
