In Los Angeles in the late 1990s, Hannan Fuller (Muller-Stahl) owns a multibillion-dollar computer enterprise and is the inventor of a new full virtual reality (VR) simulation in 1937 Los Angeles, full of fake humans, unaware that they are computer programs. । When Fuller is murdered after the VR system starts premature testing, his friend and protege, Douglas Hall (Birco), who is also the company’s successor, becomes the primary suspect. The evidence against him is so strong that Hall seems to doubt his own innocence.

Amid questioning from LAPD Detective Larry McBain (Hesbert), Hall meets Jane Fuller (Grayten Mole), the iconic daughter of Honn Fuller, who is busy shutting down the new VR system. Hall romances after that. When a local bartender is murdered, hall is arrested when he claims that Fuller was murdered on the night between Hall and Fuller. Jane gives her an alibi when she is released.
