Movie Plot: In 1978, Baton Rouge pilot Barry Seal, who flew commercial jets for TWA, was called Monty Sheffer by a CIA case officer. He asks Seal, who is smuggling Cuban cigars into the country through Canada, with cameras installed using a small aircraft to blow up clandenstein reconnaissance missions to the CIA to Central America. First Seal’s wife Lucy thinks she’s still with TWA, but eventually she’s with her “New Company” Excited by the wealth generated by it.

Later in the 1980s, Schaefer asked Seal to start acting as a courier between the CIA and General Noriega in Panama. During a mission, the Medellin cartel chose Seal and asked him to fly cocaine on his return flights to the United States. Seal accepts and starts flying the cartel’s cocaine to Louisiana, distributes drugs through the runway instead of landing at the airport. The CIA closes an eye to drug trafficking, but the DEA tracks the seal. To escape the authorities, Schaefer transferred Seal and his family to the remote town of Mena, Arkansas, which gradually became the center of all-American cocaine trafficking.
