Movie Plot: While Skrat inadvertently causes Panjia to break down, Manny and Ellie are forced to deal with the trials and tribulationof their teen daughter, Pchis, who has trouble fitting in with their peers. Ellie tries to support her daughter, but Manny becomes much more insecure. Meanwhile, Sid’s family returns, but only leaves the elderly grandmother before leaving them both. Shortly afterwards, a continental break-up separated Manny from The Herd. Stuck on a moving chalk of snow with Sid, Nani and Diego, Manny has no option but to ride the present. Meanwhile, Skrat, in a subplot, finds an acorn on which there is a treasure map that directs him towards an island. After violent weather they are pushed further away from the ground, Manny’s group is caught by a band of pirates sailing on a huge iceberg, floating under the leadership of Captain Gutt, a gigatopithecus, attempting to suppress them in their entourage. When they refuse, the faction tries to execute them, causing their escape, which inadvertently causes the ship and food supplies to sink. After being released for death, the first companion of the group, the female seberate named Vein, joins them.
