Ian Lofferty (Josh Zuckerman) is an 18-year-old recent high school graduate. She finds a girl online, as if she is charming and strong, although she is cute and helpless. He’s soon to be “Ms. Testy (Katrina Boden) meets and agrees to meet the person she lives in Knoxville, Tennessee while she lives in Chicago, Illinois. Along with his best friends Lance Nestit (Clark Duke) and Felicia Alpine (Amanda Crew), he moved to Knoxville in 1969, borrowed without permission from Pontiac GTO Judge Ian’s arrogant theophobic elder brother Rex (James Marsden).

On the way to Knoxville, they come to a hitchhiker (David Coehner), as the radiator in the judge’s radiator. They try to urinate in the radiator, which only works briefly as they try to leave the hitchhiker in the dust. The hitchhiker leaves Ian with a lack of concern for his well-being, but not before urinating at the car window. As Ian and Felicia wander to get help, Lance is waiting for the car as Azekiel (Seth Green) is in his horseshoe buggy. Ezekiel and his Amish friends repair the car while they attend a Ramspring party where Fall Out Boy is a concert, in which Lance meets a charming Amish girl, Mary (Alice Grizin). All three promised to work in return for the car.
