Movie Plot: Telly Paretta (Julianne Moore) believes her son Sam (Christopher Kovavalsky) died in a plane crash 14 months ago, but her husband Jim (Anthony Edwards) tells her that she was swept away and never had a son. His friend Eliot (Jessica Hecht) does not believe Sam’s existence despite his closeness. Dr. Munsey (Gary Sinis) tells her that Sam was only an estimate of her imagination and that she was just imagining a life that might have been. She advises that she be sent to a hospital, but she flees and meets a man named Ash (Dominic West), who thinks she is the father of a girl named Lauren (Katherine Fontan), who was Sam’s friend and died of the same accident. At first, she rejected him, claiming that he never had a daughter, and called the police. After taking her into custody, she remembers her daughter and saves Tellley. Together they escape and hide, followed by national security agents.
